Week 9

I am posting this now because I will be in Masai Mara starting tomorrow morning (Saturday) until Monday evening and I wanted to make sure I got this out there!

So this week we all had what I like to refer to as "Lamu hangover." It is the strange window of time it takes to get adjusted back into Nairobi life after 5 days of sailing, drinking obnoxious amounts of the most amazing passion/lime juice you will ever have, and overall doing absolutely nothing and living the most chilled out lifestyle one could ever imagine.

It was a harsh walk back into reality with two midterms and paper due within the past 4 days, but now that hard part os over with and we're back out on more excursions tomorrow. I am really excited to be out in the bush, sleeping in tents, and going on safaris.

Alright...the main purpose of this post is yet again....DONATIONS! I found out a much more effective way to donate to Shangilia. I have the bank account information and a "secret code" to Shangilia's bank account in Kenya. If you are interested in sending Shangilia a donation, please make the check payable to Shangilia Mtoto wa Africa (translation: rejoice Child of Africa) and send the check to my parents...email me for the address if you do not have it). I will then give my parents the information to Shangilia's account and my parents bank, or any bank for that matter, will be able to transfer the money directly into the organization's account.
